Game I have good memories of when it comes to story and gameplay. In all honestly I bought it fairly fast after the release and I regret it a bit. There better be a patch within the next week otherwise I’m going to bitch the high heavens for a refund. This really makes me upset that a company would release something like this and have such an exorbitant price tag on it. I’m holding out for an update soon, but right now I can’t enjoy the game like I used to with these BLATANTLY OBVIOUS ISSUES ANYONE WOULD HAVE PICKED UP IF THEY PLAYED THE FUCKING GAME BEFORE IT GOT RELEASED.
Mafia 2 and 3 just seem like cash grabs on the backend, and it’s cheaper if you just buy the trilogy set. That’s why I’m holding out hope for Mafia 1 which is my favorite of the series. The right way would be to rebuild the game from the ground up using new and updated controls. The problem with remasters is that the game almost feels dated the second you start playing it. I came here because the audio was playing out of the left side on my headset, so I switched to surround, and then to just normal TV, still have the same issue. If anyone from the studio downloaded this and played it before release you’d know it was not ready. It seems evident they just ported the game and threw some textures on it. It’s really glitchy, the audio is atrocious, and it’s really jagged. Pretty much in the opening Sicily level the game is just broken. I had the money to spend so I bought The Trilogy set since it was cheaper and my Mafia 1 and Mafia 2 discs (Xbox) are scratched to an oblivion and unplayable.
